The Linden varsity boys soccer team is slowly getting better.
The Eagles controlled their contest with Brandon from the start, earning a 5-1 victory against the Blackhawks.
“We are still a little behind the eight ball, but we are getting better,” Linden varsity boys soccer coach Kevin Fiebernitz said. “We still have a long road to go.
“I thought we did a fairly good job in transition. We still have a ways to work on the defensive scheme of things and movement. … But it was a good performance overall from start to finish. I still want a little more spunk to our game. Overall, I took a lot of positives out of it.”
Ryan Gillespie led the Eagles with two goals while Brandon Davis, Alex Smith and Chad Kinney had a goal each.
Linden (2-1 in the Metro) returns to Metro action on Monday with a home game against Swartz Creek.
