The Linden varsity girls golf team continues to improve during recent seasons, and that improvement was reflected in a dual meet victory against Swarrtz Creek.
The Eagles defeated the Dragons 191-203 at Holiday Meadows Golf Course.
The Eagles had two golfers earn medalist honors. Emma Lurvey shot a career-best 46 while Cassie Most tied her career-best score with a 46 as well, leading the Eagles to the win.
Ella LaMothe finished in a three-way tie with two Swartz Creek golfers, shooting a 46. Cate Draper placed sixth, capping the Eagles’ score with a 50. Teammates Hanna Baldwin and Kaitlyn Strab each shot 52s.
The 191 represents the best score the squad has had this season. The Eagles shot a 192 against Goodrich earlier this season, and lost the dual despite tying the Martians 192-192. However, Goodrich won the fifth-man tiebreaker.
