The LFLF co-op gymnastics team is headed to the state meet once again this season.
The squad involving athletes from Linden, Fenton and Lake Fenton earned a spot in the team state gymnastics meet by placing third in the team all-around at the regional meet held at Grand Ledge High School, Saturday.
Fowlerville won the meet (143.075) while Howell was second (142.15) and Linden was third (141.625), beating fourth-place Hartland by .3 points.
The LFLF team also had an all-around regional champion. In Division 2 action, Lauren Hayden posted an all-around score of 35.675, earning the regional crown. Teammate Apryl Smith also finished third with a 35.525.
Hayden earned an event regional championship, taking first on the balance beam (9.30). Her closest competition was teammate Ella Cox (9.15) who took second. Smith placed in a tie for seventh (8.85).
The LFLF team earned several other top-eight individual performances. Hayden also placed fourth in the vault (9.05) while Smith was fifth in the uneven bars (8.725). Sabra Robinson placed sixth on the vault (9.0), while Cox placed seventh on the floor (9.15).
Emma Jump and Emily Allor had strong showings in Division 1 action. Allor tied for fourth on the vault (9.10) while Jump placed a tie for fifth on the balance beam (8.75).
Many other performers had career-high scores including Brook Herbstreit on the floor, Jump on the vault and Avery Miller and Maty Temrowski on bars.
The girls state meet Friday and Saturday at Rockford High School.
