Lake Fenton’s playoff hopes ended Friday night during the Blue Devils’ Metro League crossover contest against Flushing.

The Raiders defeated the Blue Devils 27-6.

The Raiders used a variety of big plays to take the lead. Flushing’s first score came on a 32-yard pass from Nick Powers to Joe Jauzel, putting the Raiders up 7-0. The pair connected for Flushing’s second score as well from the same 32-yard distance. Flushing led 14-0 with 5:41 left in the opening quarter.

A 46-yard completion set up Nick Powers short TD plunge, raising the gap to 21-0 by halftime. Early in the second half, Cole Dunstan scored from three yards out, making it a 27-0 lead.

Lake Fenton (3-5) scored its only touchdown on a 45-yard TD pass from Reid Shumacher to Michael O’Brien.

The Blue Devils will conclude the season with a rivalry game against the Linden Eagles at Linden High School Friday.
