The Holly varsity softball has won 10 of their last 11 games, including sweeping Ithaca in two games on Tuesday. The Bronchos won the first game 6-5 and won the second contest 10-7.
In the opener, Holly (25-8) trailed 5-2 entering the bottom of the seventh, scoring three runs to earn the walk-off victory. The rally didn’t start until there were two out. That’s when Jenna Wylie singled. Molly Charboneau doubled in the first run with a double. Delaney Jenkinson followed with an RBI-single. Jenkinson stole second and scored on Maggie Boehm’s RBI-single.
Boehm had an outstanding game. She not only had the game-winning hit, but also hit a solo home run in the fourth and was the winning pitcher. She tossed a complete-game victory, striking out six batters.
Boehm and Charboneau had three hits and two RBI each, leading Holly’s offense.
In the second contest, Wylie, Charboneau, Jenkinson, Boehm and Paisley McDougal had two hits each, with Boehn driving in two runs. Jenkinson, Charboneau and Wylie each had triples while Boehm and McDougal had doubles.
