It was a tough contest for the Holly varsity football team against last year’s co-Metro League champions on Friday night.
Brandon outgained the Bronchos 273-82 and never trailed in a 35-0 victory against Holly. The bright side about the verdict is that it had no impact on the Metro League race since Holly is in the Stripes Division and Brandon is in the Stars Division.
The contest remained close in the first quarter. The only score came on Brandon Gunn’s 25-yard pass reception. Brandon led 7-0 entering the second quarter. Three second-quarter TD runs blew the game open.

Defensively, Jacob Hild had an interception and four total tackles. Delrico McDonough had seven total tackles, including a sack and one for loss. Kolten Steele had six total tackles with one being for a loss.
Hild led the offense with 29 yards rushing on eight carries while Steele had 20 yards on eight attempts. Hild completed 2-of-6 passes while Ryan Morgan completed 1-of-4. The pair combined for just 13 passing yards.
The Bronchos (1-1) begin Metro League action with a contest at Linden on Friday.
