 Fenton’s varsity softball team competed at the Wixom Backyard Challenge during the weekend and finished with a 2-3 overall record.

 The Tigers defeated Ida 14-6 and Milford 12-7.

 In the win against Ida, Kariana Pelkey went 5-for-5 with two RBI and four runs scored. Three of her hits were doubles. Lily Turkowski collected three hits and drove in two RBI while Sophie Collins had two hits.

 Against Milford, the Tigers blew open a close game with six runs in the top of the seventh. Fenton had 19 hits with seven of those safeties being doubles. Pelkey had another big game, collecting four hits (two doubles) and three RBI. Collins went 4-for-4 (two doubles) with two RBI and one walk.

 In the loss to North Farmington, the Tigers were victimized by two five-run innings by their foes. Fenton’s offense collected 13 hits with Grace MacCaughan earning three hits (two doubles) and two RBI. Collins also had three hits.
