Three area squads competed at the Bret Clements Bath Invitational, giving the event a local feel at the meet.

 Of the squads, Linden’s boys had the strongest showing, taking third in D2 action. The Lake Fenton boys placed sixth in the same event. On the girls’ side, the Eagles took sixth while the Blue Devils placed 14th. In D1 action, Holly’s boys placed ninth.

out of 13 teams.

The Holly girls didn’t have enough runners compete to collect a team score.

 Tyler Buchanan began his strong star to the season, winning the D1 race with a time of 16:00.88, about 18 seconds ahead of Forest Hills East’s Ben Clason (16:18.16).

 After Buchanan, River Meckstroth took eighth  (16:49.99), Kyle Eberhard placed 19th (17:25.12), Liam Sack was 40th (18:05.96) and Simon Dicks was 49th (18:23.51).

 Lake Fenton was led by Joseph Gilbert, who took seventh in 16:47.86. He was followed by Brenden Schroeder in 29th (17:46.24), Kyle Lewis in 33rd (17:58.90), Colton Dietrich in 34th (17:59.48) and Matt Fletcher in 53rd (18:29.45).

 Linden’s girls had Zoe Brown place 18th (20:57.84), followed by Hannah Wabel in 25th (21:13.79), Alexcis Parker in 26th (21:15.36), Kathryn Walterhouse in 31st (21:27.46) and Shelby Holscher in 35th (21:37.03).

 Aubrey Fray led the Lake Fenton women by taking 52nd (22:25.41). She was followed by Claire Hunt in 58th (22:40.10), Salina Mueller in 65th (22:56.24), Evelyn Riley in 83rd (23:48.80)  and Clare Mianecki in 105th (26:42.60).

 Holly’s top finisher was Andrea Ruiz. She placed 10th in 19:09.76. The other Holly women runners were Monica Ruiz in 46th (21:08.09) and Jasmine Bunner in 75th (30:46.68).

 Holly’s boys were led by Gabe Sanchez in 16th (16:50.20). The rest of Holly’s scorers were Bradley Baxter in 32nd (17:16.34), Nolan Weisforfer in 34th (17:21.50), Mason Rosa in 51st (17:44.59) and Zachary Rockafellow in 78th (1843.19).

 Area schools also had middle school programs run. Lake Fenton’s boys took second while the Linden boys placed sixth. The Lake Fenton boys had Nolan Pinion place 11th (12:22.91) while Brady Smith took 18th (12:38.02). Other Lake Fenton runners who were among the team’s scoring five were Rowen Baker in 23rd (12:53.51), Gavin Hiler in 49th (14:18.32) and Nolan Luokka in 60th (14:19.08).

 Linden’s boys had 10 runners among the top 80. The scoring five were Spencer Dicks in 10th (12:18.96), Kyle Dreasky in 33rd (13:11.88), Connor Blackwood in 43rd (13:37.26), Reed Krueger in 48th (13:53.96) and Davin Meckstroth in 51st (14:00.03).

 Linden’s middle school girls took ninth with Emma Angus (14:58.24) and Cloe Josphson (14:59.33) earning 28th and 29th places respectively.

 The rest of the scoring five were Grace Kenny in 40th (15:18.63), Stella Martin in 55th (15:41.15) and Ava Fahrenkoph in 59th (15:42.49).

 Lake Fenton’s middle school girls team placed 11th with Emerson Baker placing seventh (13:32.95). The rest of the scoring five were: Chloe Hnilica in 54th (15:40.60, Marcella Jenio in 598th (15:41.76), Madelyn Teffner in 62nd (15:53.69) and Anna Blair in 79th (16:28.71).
