‘‘I am embarrassed that so many people in our sweet little town are so completely selfish and ignorant. ‘My liberty is above your health?’ We are ‘living in a communist state?’ My God, people. Wake up. The whole world is fighting this battle. Sorry it is inconveniencing you.”

***

‘‘One reason you may have trouble finding toilet paper. An employee at one of the big box stores said they see the same people coming in every day and heading straight to the toilet paper aisle. Use common sense. Stop hoarding.”

***

‘‘As a senior and cancer survivor, I face an elevated risk from this new virus, but I would gladly accept more risk for myself if it would alleviate the devastating economic consequences that are falling on younger people. I find our lack of concern for their very real suffering unconscionable.”

***

‘‘Enjoy the government free stuff. This insane payment is costing each American $21,500. Considering no one over 50 will ever pay that back, then thanks to all the young folk. A family of four with parents under 40 now has $800,000 of debt. More free money — not.”

***

I AM TIRED of people who talk about freedom, denying their rights, wrapping their selfish attitude in the flag. Those of us who follow reasonable requests at inconvenience to our lives are American too. We respect liberty and life; we do not have to choose one or the other.

***

TO THE ENVIRONMENTALIST who was going to spend Earth Day cleaning up the trash. Why don’t you just try putting trash in its place the other 364 days of the year? It will give you time to worry about acid rain, ozone hole and global cooling, and addressing food shortages.

***

STILL AFRAID OF your mindset. You sounded threatening in your response. Wow. I am free, I am very independent and we all have liberty. Go to North Korea if you don’t believe it. I don’t want anything from you. Grow up and stop being selfish. Peace and love.

WHEN YOU READ the number infected, remember that 98 percent will recover with no hospitalization. Guess they keep forgetting that statistic so panic can continue.

***

CHECK LABELS. STOP buying Chinese products.

***

SEATED BY A professional lady on my flight to lecture on business intelligence. She asked where I got my PhD. PhD? In 1970, I received an associate degree from OCC. Maybe we should listen to those who have a grasp on the problem, not a grasp on a piece of paper.

***

PLEASE, DEMAND COUNTRY of origin labeling on all food products.

FIRST, THEY TELL us no need to wear a mask. It’s not going to help and the only masks that work are N95. Now Governor Whitmer says, ‘You have to wear a mask, a scarf, just cover your nose and mouth when you’re in an enclosed space.’ Like her governing, she has no idea what she’s doing.

***

LINDEN SOFTBALL FOCUSED on winning championships? Your season’s canceled. Glad to see you care about your players so much that you won’t reward those who worked hard. Too afraid of telling those who didn’t make it? Great leadership. Hiding behind the canceled season. Huge cop out.

***

THE ‘STAY AT Home Order’ is working. Keep following the guidelines and we won’t have to put our loved ones and our essential workers at any more risk than they have to be.

***

ONE THING HAS become abundantly clear — we thought ISIS was our biggest threat — we have been sleeping at the switch.

***

WHY AREN’T ANY journalists on TV asking Joe Biden, a former vice president and Democratic candidate for 2020, anything about the sex assault allegations made by Tara Reade, who worked for him nearly 30 years ago? I want to hear his answer.

***

FOR ALL YOU hoarders out there who are making this situation twice as difficult for the rest of us, your selfish, self-serving ways will definitely catch up with you one day.

***

THANK YOU GOV. Whitmer for keeping us safe. Thank you for taking us off the top five list of coronavirus deaths in the USA.

***

YOU’RE NOT BEING oppressed. You’re being inconvenienced. Stay home.

***

AMERICA’S EXPERIMENT WITH individual states on their own failed under the Articles of Confederation. The Constitution joined the states and people together for better and worse. Your liberty being more important than our health! Former Secretary of State Tilllerson has one word for you. Moron.

***

THESE EXTRA $600 payments from the federal government need to end as soon as an unemployed worker is allowed to go back to work. The people sitting at home collecting extra money are selfish and costing the rest of us who pay taxes even more.

***

COVID-19 CAUSED PARKED cars and planes equals cleaner air. At what cost? Closed businesses, schools, jobs lost, economy severely damaged. Democrats’ Green New Deal would cause the same kind of disruption.

***

TO THE PERSON not able to find toilet paper. Just subscribe to the NY Times as it does a good job.

***

THE ARROGANCE OF our vice president. To stay in favor with our president, Pence refuses to wear a mask to places like the Mayo Hospital. He preaches the guidelines for safe behavior yet parades around with no regard to spreading the virus. Maybe he feels he is above the virus.

***

GOV. WHITMER’S NEW plan should provide funding for all essential workers. Instead of free college, this money would be better spent helping pay down, or eliminate college debt for everyone working and risking their lives during the pandemic.

***

THANKFULLY, IN THE last three years President Trump built our successful economy otherwise COVID-19 would have caused even more devastation. We need Trump to continue working with and for the ‘People’ to survive and rebuild. Put politics aside and use your common sense.

***

I READ THAT Joe Biden is lawyering up because of Tara Reade. Wonder why.

***

WHAT IS WRONG with people who keep rallying against the stay-at-home orders? I understand there are those who can’t feed their families and are going without. We all are. The First Amendment gives us freedom of speech but gatherings will go against the 10 Commandments. Thou shalt not kill.

***

BOO HOO TO all you whiners about the stay-at-home rule. May you all be the first to get the coronavirus after the restrictions are lifted. Maybe that will shut you up.

***

I greatly appreciate what VG’s has done to keep their customers and staff safe. The aisles can be tough to navigate. if skipping aisles solved with installing a roundabout to ease congestion and confusion. Win, win.

GOD BLESS AMERICA.
