"Hope the person who wrote about removing lights on Silver Lake Road to improve traffic flow read the Times Nov. 10. Article stated Fenway Dr. and Silver Lake Rd. is the worst, a three-way intersection. Article didn’t recommend removing a single light on Silver Lake Rd."

"So, I see in the paper that many streets are on the list in Linden to be repaired. How about Main Street? It’s the worst street in the city. Why can’t that be paved first?"

"We’ve traveled the country and we want everyone to know that this area is so fortunate to have the police we have in the Fenton, Linden and Holly area. God bless them all."

I WAS VERY disappointed with Dan Kildee’s comments on the infrastructure bill. He said it would bring jobs to union ‘workers.’ What about those without union membership? Is he just looking for votes?

THE POLICE DON’T need to start patrolling Silver Lake or Owen. Better, you just need to stop driving 10 under the speed limit. If you’re too scared to drive, don’t.

READING ABOUT THE ambulance issues, I wonder why Fenton Township would sign a contract with a different ambulance company than the one that Fenton and Linden and I think Argentine has? Who makes these decisions? Why wouldn’t a region have the same service?

THE LIONS — THE uncaring led by the incompetent and they still get paid. That’s the real definition of grand larceny.

HOW MANY PEOPLE are getting taxed out of their house with all these millages and bonds that are getting approved every year? The recent road bond will increase my monthly house payment $100-plus. There should be a limit on how much/many of these are allowed per year at one time.

ANYONE ELSE NOTICE that Hungry Howies has changed their call center to India instead of Fenton?

MANY PEOPLE IN the Fenton area routinely travel to Haiti as missionaries. On Oct. 16, 17 American missionaries were kidnapped, several were children. On Nov. 9, the Biden administration says they’ve learned that some of them are still alive. What? Why didn’t our leaders bring them home? This is concerning.

SELLING BRICKS FOR the proposed Veterans Memorial is a wonderful idea. However, a similar initiative at the Cultural Center in 2006-07 never materialized despite many being sold. With funding incomplete, consider waiting until the walkway is built to send money. Older veterans might not live long enough to see their brick.
