‘‘Big shout out to C A Lamont Farms in Holly for being so kind and generous by helping sprinkle joy to the residents at Mission Point in Holly. They absolutely loved the courtyard. Your kindness and generosity won’t be forgotten.”

***

‘‘I can’t wait for the Bottles, Brews and news event this year. Last year the drive-thru was cool, but the tent event with all of the choices is so fun.”

***

‘‘To the person who cares about how things used to be here. Thank you. We have a long and rich history here in Fenton.”

***

TO ALL THE people that complain on the Hot lines. Nobody cares. Quit complaining. Get a job. We all know it’s the same people every week crying about something. You’re not that important and nobody cares.

RELOCATING OUR MOTT Community College branch from the dreary industrial corridor on Thompson Road into downtown Fenton is the best idea I’ve heard in a long time.

***

THE PEOPLE THAT are jamming the streets every Thursday and Friday evening are not people visiting town. They are people trying to get home from work

FENTON TOWNSHIP COMMITS $20,000 to the pathway. We voted it down. So why did the Board of Trustees feel they have the right to make this decision? Wonder if it’s going to come out of their pockets.

RUNYAN LAKE ROAD should be rebuilt since it’s now an alternate freeway

***

OH, PLEASE EXTEND the bike trail onto Fenton Road. That road is so dangerous for bicycles because of all the curves. If a vehicle does not see a bicycle around the curve, it is so serious for both driver and the person on the bike. Owen Road is straight and wide so I think that one can wait.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE Linden City officials. You have survived another year without repairing Main Street. I know that you want everyone to be upset at the potholes and pass your BS road millage. Resign and let someone take office who cares.

VOTE NO ON property tax increase. We don’t need another Shiawassee bumpy road; we’ve already got them. And $900 extra on my tax, no thanks

BEFORE RECEIVING THE vaccine, it was a matter of when I would get COVID. Now that I am vaccinated, it’s a matter of if I will get COVID. I’ll take the if over the when.

WITH ONE COVID-19 infection in August, New Zealand implemented a strict national lockdown. Now with 1,300 additional cases, they are eliminating restrictions. Reality finally overcame propaganda as New Zealand learned the lesson we already knew — lockdowns do not work.

WHY ARE PEOPLE so worried about illegal immigrants but not the Chinese people in China who are treated terribly. And the rich people who invest millions there instead of in the USA. Start investing here. Small businesses start-ups. And the unions have turned their backs on America. They’re hypocrites.

IF YOU GO to a school board, before you speak, ask if FBI agents are present, and to identify themselves.

WEDNESDAY WAS COUNT day at our schools. I wonder if the information will include students who left because of mask mandates with no clear direction regarding outbreaks. Online home schools are seeing a sharp increase daily. My grandson loves his online school.

OUR NEW PRESIDENT wants to give free this, free that. Nothing’s free. How about incentives to work. We need people with skills. Open some trade schools.

WHAT IS GOING on with Linden varsity football? The team is chock full of talent, yet aren’t winning. Is it time to change the game plan?

***

ELISSA SLOTKIN VOTES against protecting our southern border more than three times, yet voted for providing humanitarian aid to those crossing illegally. Who is she representing again?

***

WITH OUR SECOND year of another disappointing season upon us, maybe it is time to reevaluate our football program and make some changes.

FOR THOSE OF you who keep using the Bible as a reference to the vaccines and masks, like ‘Love they neighbor’ and in Leviticus. Read Romans 14:1-10. Disputes should not divide believers. Christians must be nonjudgmental. We all will stand before God’s judgment seat. Keep in mind your own shortcomings. Galatians 6:1

YOUR FACTS ARE wrong. Presidential administrations don’t vote on taxation of Social Security, Congress does. As a Senator, Biden voted twice to increase tax on Social Security benefits. Democrats controlled the House of Representatives that passed the 1983 tax on Social Security. Those are facts.
