I need to practice social distancing from the refrigerator.
Big shout out to The State Bank. I am a small business owner and applied for the SBA-Paycheck protection loan last week. Just got approval today and should be closing next week.
The staff who self-quarantined with the residents at Vicinia Gardens deserve enormous gratitude for giving so unselfishly. Hearing the news of senior homes around the country that have high rates of diagnosed cases proves they did the right thing.
AT THIS TRYING time, I wish the couple at Meadow Pointe their 56th wedding anniversary. Have a very happy anniversary. Staying together this long shows true love.
USE THE BAGS this newspaper comes in as doggie pooh bags and at the gas pump instead of rubber gloves needed for medical people. Good way to recycle.
DROVE DOWN PETTS Road. No need for new pavement. It’s smoother than most in the township. Who lives there?
THIS IS AMERICA people. If you have a cabin up north, I say go. You have rights, fought and paid for.
THANK YOU TO Bob, Cindy, Kim and staff at the B & C Pharmacy.
CLARKSTON INDEPENDENCE DISTRICT Library is offering free live online weekly story times for children during this ‘stay home, stay safe,’ time. You don’t have to be young to enjoy listening to a good story read aloud. Learn more at indelib.org.
WHILE I ADMIRE those making masks to donate, please be aware that some people are making masks for their own families and can’t get necessary supplies such as elastic and thread. Buying in large quantities is not allowing others to buy for their own needs.
TELLING FOLKS TO stay home is a good thing. Telling folks they can’t purchase paint or mulch to work around their homes while confined is going beyond extreme.
KEEP YOUR HEART soft and your resolve hard.
LIGHTEN UP. THE guy with the sign on Torrey was just trying to have some fun by making fun of the Tiger King show on TV.
YOU HAVE TO wonder if your daughter made varsity softball when the season was canceled and it is totally irrelevant? She did not work harder. Try again next year.
BETTER 6 FEET apart than 6 feet under.
DAY SIX OF homeschooling: My child just said, ‘I hope I don’t have the same teacher next year.’ I’m offended.
TO THE PERSON who called out my friend Matt for sitting outside with his ‘Honk if you...’ poster. Please know that Matt is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, and he works hard to spread joy daily. Also, watch Tiger King. Everyone hates Carole.
TO ANYONE WHO gets upset at the cashier for limiting the amount of an item you can purchase. It is not their fault. Place the blame where it belongs. It’s your neighbors and co-shoppers who place themselves above everyone else. This behavior will not be tolerated.
THANK YOU FOR the article on National Mom & Pop Business Owners Day. I am sad to think how many may not survive the ordered statewide shut down.
I LOVE THE crossword puzzle in the weekend edition. Thank you TCT.
IN THIS TIME of being safe, why isn’t someone from the township working from home by phone or email? Anyone able to work from home in most businesses is doing so. They could easily do this.
TO ALL THE dog walkers coming up Torrey Beach and North Road. Please stay out of my yard. It’s private property. You let your dogs pee and poo and I only saw one lady clean it up. I thank you. To all the others, I can return your dog’s deposit.
