Shriya Yarlagadda, a sophomore at Grand Blanc High School, is one of 15 teens competing in Jeopardy! 2019 Teen Tournament. She has a chance at winning $100,000.
According to jeopardy.com, Yarlagadda will compete in the quarterfinals against Avi Gupta, a senior from Portland, Oregon and Hannah Nekritz, a senior from Stamford, Connecticut. Their match-up will air Friday, June 21.
Three teens from Charlotte, North Carolina; Macon, Georgia and Sioux Falls, South Dakota will compete June 17. Three teens from Miami, Florida; Bellaire, Texas and Bakersfield, California compete June 18. Three teens from Canton, Georgia; Wheelersburg, Ohio and Chevy Chase, Maryland compete June 19 and three teens from Louisville, Kentucky; Basking Ridge, New Jersey and Redmond, Washington compete June 20.
Winners will move on to semifinals and then finals. Those dates have not been announced.
