Yard waste pickup begins in April.
Republic Services handles waste removal services for most area municipalities. The company recommends placing yard waste, which includes grass clippings, leaves, branches and yard debris, into biodegradable bags and placing them near the sidewalk or at the edge of the driveway.
The pile should be no higher than 4 feet, and cut branches should be no longer than 4 feet.
Yard waste cannot be mixed with trash or recycling.
Yard waste pickup begins in April and ends in November. Republic Services will pick it up every Friday in the city, with a few exceptions on weeks that include holidays. In June, the first week for yard waste pickup is Saturday the 5th. In September, the second week pickup day is Saturday the 11th. In November, the fourth week pickup day is Saturday the 27th.

The township’s website states that all yard waste must be placed in biodegradable Kraft paper bags or placed in 30-gallon cans clearly marked as yard waste. No plastic bags will be accepted. Branches and twigs smaller than 2” in diameter must be placed in bundles no larger than 2’ by 4’ long or 50 pounds per bag or bundle. No tree trunks, stumps, construction materials or demolition debris will be accepted.

Republic Services picks up yard waste every Wednesday beginning in April. Due to holidays, the day may change. In June, pickup is on Thursday the 3rd instead of Wednesday. In September, second week pickup will take place on Thursday the 9th.
