The Fenton Township Board of Trustees passed a resolution in support of the proposed, five-year master plan for Southern Lakes Parks & Recreation. 

 Fenton Township is a member of the Southern Lakes Regional Metropolitan Parks and Recreation District (SLPR). The proposed plan details area parks, SLPR’s programs and events, and the organization’s goals and objectives for the next five years.

 Trustees Rob Kesler and Christine Reid are on the SLPR Board. 

Reid said the available plan is a draft and it’s expected that it will be tweaked.

 “We have to have a five-year plan on file,” she said. 

 The vote was 5-1. Kesler was absent and Clerk Robert Krug was the dissenting vote.
