Having opened Tuesday, May 29, Sport Clips is ready to provide the Fenton area with the “MVP experience that will have you feeling 10 feet tall.”

With a unique, “guy-friendly atmosphere” and stylists who are passionate about what they do, Sport Clips is like no other place you’ve ever gotten your hair cut.

“I think we’re the only place in the area that specifically caters to and focuses on men,” said Owner David Gomel, “Although, we do offer haircuts for women. Our stylists are passionate about cutting men’s hair, and they enjoy what they do. That’s one of the things that helps us really stand out, along with our atmosphere — we’ve got sports on TV all day long — we’re really guy-focused.”

Gomel says that Sport Clips proudly offers up-to-date trends in haircuts and beard trimming. Services include options like the “Triple Play” — a precision haircut, hot steamed towel treatment and massaging shampoo; the “MVP Experience” — a precision haircut, hot steamed towel treatment, massaging shampoo and neck and shoulder massage; the “Varsity Haircut,” beard detailing, complimentary neck trims and several other options.

The business, located in Fenton’s Owen Shoppes at 3401 Owen Rd., features several large flat-screen televisions that play sports programming at each haircut station, as well as in the lobby; along with a number of luxuries like special lighting, massage chairs and more.

“Hair care has always been really important to me because it’s a big part of looking your best,” Gomel said. “In college, I’d only get my hair cut by one person, and I’d look like a complete schlub until I was able to see them again. So, I understand how particular guys can be about their hair care. Sport Clips is just the perfect place for guys to come and relax — and leave looking their best.”
