The son of a Fenton Township family appeared in a Good Morning America segment Saturday, Nov. 30 after his proposal to his now-wife was shared online.

Watch the segment here.

In the video, Grant Speace, 24, who attended West Shore Elementary in Lake Fenton Community Schools as a kid, was driving with his girlfriend, Hailey Stultz, 23, when they were pulled over by police. An officer told them there's a warrant out for Speace, and they both get out of the car.

Instead of being arrested, Grant got down on one knee and proposed. Police body camera footage captured the moment.

Grant is in the Coast Guard, currently stationed in Portsmouth, NH on the Tahoma, and flew to Cincinnati last Friday. He asked for her family's blessing to marry Stultz on last Saturday and did the proposal on Sunday.

They shopped for wedding clothes on Monday and were married this past Tuesday. Stultz wore Speace's mother's wedding dress for the ceremony.

Speace flew back Wednesday and his ship left Friday.

They both graduated high school in Ohio in 2014.
