On Monday, Jan. 13, Fenton police responded to Walmart on Owen Road for a retail fraud complaint. Lt. Jeff Cross said the loss prevention department called police to report that two males were loading backpacks with stolen merchandise. The men walked past all points of sale without paying and were met by waiting police officers who took them into custody outside. One of the suspects had $698.13 worth of merchandise in his possession and the other one had $504.63 worth of merchandise, for a total of $1,202.76. Both suspects were transported to the Fenton police station for processing. They were released pending a future court date. Arrested was a 35-year-old man from Burton and a 29-year-old man from Grand Blanc.
