HOLLY WOMAN ARRESTED FOR FELONIOUS ASSAULT

On Friday, June 12, at 3:32 p.m. Holly police officers were dispatched to a Holly residence for a reported domestic violence in progress. Officers arrived and interviewed the man and woman, and other occupants of the home. It was determined that the male was sleeping on a couch when the female began hitting him with a crowbar. There were visible injuries on the man consistent with the report. Based on the complete investigation, the 31-year-old female was arrested and lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending the issuance of a warrant.

GOOD SAMARITAN TURNS IN WALLET, HOLLY POLICE FIND OWNER AND RETURN WALLET

On Monday, June 8 at 5:38 p.m., a Good Samaritan found a wallet on the side of Grange Hall Road and brought it to the Holly Police Department. A Holly police officer located the happy owner and returned the wallet and its contents. The officer also called the finder to report that his actions led to the safe return of the wallet.

Barn on Torrey Road catches fire

The Fenton Township Fire Department responded to unauthorized burning in the area of Thompson and Torrey roads at 10:54 a.m., Saturday, June 13. Fenton Township Fire Chief Ryan Volz said on his arrival at 11:03 a.m., the property owner was burning old debris behind the barn on Torrey Road. As Volz exited his vehicle, he noticed the roof of the old barn was starting to smolder. At that time, dispatch was notified and the incident was upgraded to a structure fire. Tankers from Mundy Township and Fenton City were called to assist. Fenton Township cleared the scene at 12:42 p.m.
