A 25-year-old Livonia man is lodged at the Oakland County Jail after Holly police arrested him for allegedly stealing two bottles of wine from a Holly Village liquor store Sunday, June 9 at 9:41 p.m. Holly police were dispatched to the store on N. Saginaw Street for a retail fraud complaint. The owner said a white male wearing dark clothing concealed the wine in a backpack and left without paying. Video surveillance captured the suspect on film. Responding officers located the man who eventually admitted to taking the wine. Both bottles, one of which was half-empty, were recovered. A computer check revealed the suspect had eight valid arrest warrants on a variety of offenses in Oakland County. He was turned over to Waterford Police Department on the most recent warrant. Holly police issued him a citation for retail fraud, third degree.
