CHRISTMAS TREE AND MORE STOLEN FROM UNLOCKED CAR

The Fenton Police Department is investigating a larceny from auto complaint which was reported Tuesday, Dec. 7. Lt. Jeff Cross said a woman reported that sometime between 9:45 and 11 a.m. on Dec. 7, someone stole several items from her car, including a Christmas tree, Christmas tree topper, two sweatshirts, a heated sweatshirt, pop cans and approximately $30 in cash. The woman said she left her car unlocked, which she routinely does. Cross said potential thieves, especially during the holidays, are looking inside vehicles in search of valuables to steal. Police advise everyone to keep the doors of their vehicles locked at all times and to remove or conceal any personal belongings.

TRUCK STOLEN FROM USED VEHICLE LOT, LATER FOUND

Fenton police received a stolen vehicle complaint from a used car lot in the 1500 block of N. LeRoy Street on Dec. 7. A person from the business said the theft occurred between Nov. 1 and Dec. 7. Stolen was a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup truck. It was a dually and white. The employee said it was parked in the back. Lt. Jeff Cross said through some investigation work, the truck was located. Police are still searching for suspect information.

POKEMON CARDS STOLEN FROM STORE

On Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. Fenton police responded to a game store on Silver Parkway to investigate a larceny complaint. An employee told police that a white male, approximately 30 year old, 6-feet tall, 210 pounds, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and mask had been behaving suspiciously in the store. The suspect had been looking at several trading cards, including Pokémon cards. After the shopper left, they viewed the surveillance footage and observed the man steal approximately $80 worth of Pokémon cards and a $120 computer hard drive. Due to the hooded sweatshirt and face mask, they were unable to produce a clear photo of the suspect.

NAVIGATION SYSTEMS STOLEN FROM NEW VEHICLES

On Dec. 9, an employee of a auto dealership on Silver Parkway reported to Fenton police that eight Dodge Ram pickup trucks had been broken into. The suspect(s) smashed the back window, entered the cab and stole the navigation systems from the trucks. The trucks were parked in a business lot next to the auto dealership. Between the damage to the trucks and the stolen items, police estimate total damage is $24,000. If anyone has information about this crime, they are asked to call Fenton police at (810) 629-5311.
