Robert S. “Cookie” Cooke - age 90, of Fenton, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018.  Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1025 Main St., Fenton.  Pastor Dean Dumbrille officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund. Robert was born October 23, 1928 in Flint, the son of James and Charlotte (Berg) Cooke.  He was a graduate of Flint Northern High School and attended GMI. He married Lydia Frisorger July 15, 1950 in Flint and she preceded him in death July 17, 2016.  He had resided in Fenton for the past 31 years coming from Flint Township. Robert retired in 1987 from GM Buick Motor Division after 40 years of service.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Fenton Lions Club.  He enjoyed golfing and carpentry. Surviving are: son, Randy and wife, Jan Cooke of Florida; daughter, Pam Flore of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Alexis Cooke, David Flore, Lindsay Annis, and Sara and husband, Rick Besson; great-grandchildren, Brynn and Brody Annis, and Elissa, Ethan, and Charlie Besson; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James and Charles; and sister, Jeannie. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice and Comfort Keepers.
