The State Bank is proud to announce another successful year in its campaign to raise funds for the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
This year, the bank’s 15 Genesee, Shiawassee, Oakland and Saginaw County branches participated in various fundraisers. The branches have friendly competitions to see who can raise the most funds for this great cause.
On Wednesday, Feb. 12, the bank was proud to present the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan with a check for $30,000. In the 18-year partnership, The State Bank has contributed a total of $254,706 — or 1,528,236 meals — to fight hunger right here in the community.
“At The State Bank, we have a passion to create better communities and to support organizations with the same mission, said Ron Justice, president and CEO of The State Bank. “Partnering with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan is an opportunity for both our staff and our valued customers to give back and enhance the quality of life of our local residents. We take great pride in helping the Food Bank achieve their goals annually.”
“Over the past 18 years, The State Bank has made a significant, positive impact on our ability to provide healthy, nutritious food to families in need in our community,” said Kara Ross, president and CEO of the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. “Our fight against hunger is ongoing. It wouldn’t be possible for us to carry out our mission without the long-term support of committed Hunger Relief Partners like The State Bank.”
