Ulrich Guenter Piekarek

Ulrich Guenter Piekarek - age 69, of Holly, died Thursday, July 30, 2020. He was born in Leer, Germany on May 19, 1951.  He was the second son of Rudolf and Esther Erika Piekarek.  His family immigrated to the United States when he was five months old, settling first in Augusta, ME.  When he was a year old, his family moved to Holly.  He has lived in the Holly and Fenton areas from that time on. Ulrich graduated from Andrews University in 1974 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.  He worked at Adelphian Mill and TRW Automotive, retiring in 2013.  He was a life-long member of the Holly Seventh-day Adventist Church, serving as Elder and Associate Treasurer for many years. Ulrich married Carolyn Ferguson of Seattle, Washington on November 22, 1979.  Their union was blessed by the addition of daughter Erika two years later. Ulrich was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolf and Esther.  He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Holly; daughter, Erika; son-in-law, Percy Lopez of Ellicott City, MD; brother, Dietmar of Spring Brook, NY; brother, Gary; sister-in-law, Carol of Greenwood, DE. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, August  4, 2020 at the Holly Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Pastor Daniel Ferraz officiating. Visitation will be from 2 - 9 PM Monday with social distancing restrictions at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Holly.
