Patrick Donald Moore

Patrick Donald Moore, age 66, of Holt,  (formerly of Fenton) passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at McLaren Hospital of Lansing. Pat was born at Fort Monroe, Virginia on December 17, 1954 to Donald Dean Moore and Frances Moore while Dean was stationed there in the Army. He spent most of his younger years growing up in Fenton attending Fenton High School where he earned eight varsity letters as a three-sport athlete before graduating in 1973. He then went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Business from Michigan State University in 1977.  His was an avid Michigan State University sports fan with season tickets to both basketball and football for many years. In his younger years, Pat loved to go snowmobiling up north, fishing and running. He competed in and completed the Detroit Marathon as well as several Crim races. In his latter years, his favorite pastime was going to the movie theater where he would pretty much watch anything, even Julie’s mushy movies, though he definitely leaned more toward the Sci-Fi and Action/Adventure genres. He was loving, very funny, creative, enjoyed puttering with little projects, could fix pretty much anything and will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved him. Pat is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Julie (Amundsen) Moore; mother, Frances Moore of Linden; brother, Michael Moore of Grand Blanc; sister, Mary Moore of Linden; sister, Deanne Moore of Lansing; nephew, Derek Moore of Grand Blanc; and great nephews, Isaiah, Camron and Gabriel Moore. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Dean Moore. Cremation has taken place. There will be no service but there will be a Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends on April 30, 2022 from 12 – 5 PM at the Shiawassee Shores Retirement Park Main Clubhouse - 1515 W. Rolston Rd, Linden, MI 48451. You may also leave condolences for the family at dignitymemorial.com.
