Margaret Allen

Margaret E. Allen - age 89, of Fenton passed away Friday, October 25, 2019.  Services will be held 12 PM Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Fenton First Presbyterian Church, 503 S. Leroy St., Fenton.  Pastors Robbie and Lindsey Carnes officiating.  Visitation will be 11 AM until the time of service Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the church.  Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Fenton First Presbyterian Church Special Music Fund.  Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Margaret was born July 17, 1930 in Niagara Falls, NY., the daughter of Clarence and Elizabeth (Beatty) Rice.  She married Roland Wagner in 1956 and together they raised her two daughters from a previous marriage and raised a son.  After Roland's death in 1987 she met and married Dale Allen of Tucson, AZ, who preceded her in death in 2010.  Margaret was an award winning artist known for her colorful oil and pastel paintings.  She was a member of the Flint and Fenton Artist Guilds and a lover of music.  She joined the Fenton First Presbyterian Church in 1973 where she was a Deacon and a choir member.  She enjoyed being a member of the church book club as well as being an avid theater, concert, and travel log attendee.  She was known for her colorful clothing and matching jewelry and was an exuberant participant of life. Surviving are her daughter, Peggy (Bruce) Fowler of Fenton; her son, Paul (Kelly) Wagner of New Paris, OH; three grandchildren, Ben (Erica) Wagner, Becky Wagner, and Sam Wagner; three great-grandchildren, Owen, Lincoln, and Silas Wagner.
