Leon Bush

Leon Brooks Bush - age 93, of Linden, left this earth early in the morning Sunday, January 5, 2020. A celebration of Leon's life will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Following the service, Leon will be entombed at Tyrone Memory Gardens. Leon's family invites all who knew him to a visitation to be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 4 - 8 PM and Thursday, 10 AM until the time of service. Leon entered this world on June 9, 1926 in Ovid, the son of William and Retta Bush. The best day of his life was June 19, 1948 when he married the love of his life, Sally Martuch, in Flint. Leon and Sally spent the next 66 years, five months and 16 days on their honeymoon. Leon owned and operated Genesee Welding Supply, Inc., located in Flint, Pontiac, Bay City, Lansing and Charlevoix, for over 40 years. Leon's spirit, upbeat attitude and ever-present smile will live on through his beloved daughter, his grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Leon was a founding member and past president of Spring Meadows Country Club. He is survived by his daughter, Bethany and husband Craig Rockman; grandchildren, Richard Koester, Kali and husband Dr. Partha Nandi; great-grandchildren, Annie and Ellie Koester, Charley Beth Holcomb, Partha, Shaan and Rakhi Nandi; and many nieces and nephews.
