Kenneth Gerald Gifford

Kenneth Gerald Gifford - age 86, of Fenton, died Wednesday, July 21, 2021. A funeral Mass will be held celebrated 11 AM Saturday, July 24 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 300 N. Adelaide Street, Fenton. Father Robert Copeland celebrant. Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held 5 - 7PM Friday, July 23, with a 6 PM Knight of Columbus memorial service at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Those desiring may make contributions to Knights of Columbus, Fenton Council #7418. Kenneth was born February 27, 1935 in Flint, the son of Stanley and Mary (Secord) Gifford. He married Rita Frances McNamee in Flint on January 9, 1965 and she preceded him in death on April 21, 2014.  Kenneth proudly served his country in the Army from 1954 to 1956. He retired in 1988 from General Motors, Chevrolet Division with 32 years of service. Kenneth was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Fenton; Knights of Columbus, Fenton Council #7418; Assembly 2031; Flint Carving Club and a member of UAW Local 659.  Surviving are son, Steven (Lisa) Gifford of MN; grandchildren, Ian, Alec and Hunter Gifford all of MN; brothers, Fredrick (Sally) Gifford of Gaines, Phillip (Janet) Gifford of Swartz Creek ; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; Stanley and Mary Gifford;sister, Agnes Marsh; brothers, George (Dewayne) Gifford, Laurence Gifford and Raymond Gifford.
