John Eric Stork

John Eric Stork – age 63 of Fenton, died Sunday, December 12, 2021. John was born in Flint to Robert and Patricia Stork. In 1976, he graduated from Grand Blanc High as a National Merit Scholar. He was an award-winning competitor and assistant coach to the debate team. At the University of Michigan Flint, John tutored math and earned a BA in Mathematics with a strong background in computers. John studied business at Eastern Michigan University and tutored math at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. John married Janet Kennedy in 1984. The couple had twin sons in 1985 and another son in 1988. Their nephew came to live with them in 2007. John worked as a computer systems design architect for EDS, then Hewlett Packard, where he earned many awards and accolades before retiring several years ago. John was an avid reader and collector of books. He loved cooking and entertaining family, friends and fellow members of the First Presbyterian Church in Fenton. John enjoyed gaming with his sons and friends. John could converse about movies forever, particularly science fiction and horror films. John is survived by Janet, his wife of 37 years; his sons, Eric, Sean and Donal; his nephew, Patrick; his father, Robert; and brother, Jeff. John also leaves behind a large extended family. A memorial service will be held at Fenton First Presbyterian Church on January 8th, 2022, at 3 PM.
