Forrest Albert Shook

Forrest Albert Shook - age 80, of Fenton, passed away, Wednesday, January 18, 2023. Funeral Service 11 AM Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church 1025 Main St. Fenton. Pastor Peter Ahlersmeyer and Pastor Dean Dumbrille officiating. Visitation 2 – 8 PM Monday, January 23, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton and 10 AM until the time-of-service Tuesday at Church. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Memorial Contributions in Forrest's memory may be made to Make a Wish Foundation-Michigan. Forrest was born June 10, 1942, in Almont, the son of Donald Richard and Josephine (Benhke) Shook. He married Delores Carol Leeck in Lapeer on May 13, 1967. Forrest received his Associates Degree in Business Administration from Port Huron Junior College. He was the Owner of NLB Corporation in Wixom. Forrest was a State Bank Board Member for 15 years having served as Chairman for eight of those years. He was the founder and 30-year board member of the Water Jet Technology Association (WJTA). Forrest was also named Michigan Entrepreneur of the year in Manufacturing in 1991. He also received the Pioneer Award for Developing Product, (WJTA) in 2007. Forrest was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He also enjoyed harvesting Maple Syrup. Forrest had a love for Horses and Tiger baseball and even attended the Detroit Tiger Fantasy Camp. Forrest is survived by his wife, Delores; sons, Jeffrey Shook, and Brian (Denis Brown) Shook; grandchildren, Emma, Cooper, Ryan, Paxton, and Jordan; great-granddaughter, Charlotte; sisters, Gloria Aldea, and Rosemary (Mike) Falter; his aunt, Betty Shook; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
