Diane Lee (Arnold) Laing

Diane Lee (Arnold) Laing – age 90, of Linden, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020, due to complications with COVID-19. She was born on June 29, 1930, in Kalamazoo. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Laing, of Linden; son-in-law, Scott Grossmeyer, of Fenton; granddaughter, Katelin (Zach) Wiersma, of Cedar Springs; and niece, Julie (Mark) Bruman, of North Branch. Before retiring, Diane spent her career as a teacher and professor, teaching at Oakland Community College for much of her career. She is a proud alumni of Western Michigan University and later securing her Ph.D. from Michigan State University. A memorial service will be held at St. Bartholomew Church in Swartz Creek on Saturday, July 24, at 9:30 AM, burial to follow in Fariview Cemetery, Linden. In lieu of flowers, those desiring to make a contribution may do so to St. Bartholomew Church or the Loose Senior Center in Linden, Michigan. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
