Tyrone Township Supervisor Michael Cunningham has announced that Kurt Schulze was appointed Tuesday night to serve on the Township Board, filling the seat vacated by Allen “Al” Pool earlier this summer.
Schulze has been a resident of Tyrone Township for 27 years and has spent the past three years on the Planning Commission. He will continue to serve as the ex officio board member to the Planning Commission, Cunningham said.
According to whmi.com, Schulze said during his interview that he wanted to support the master plan and perpetuate the rural character of the township. He said the most pressing matter in the township is the development and management of commercial development in the area.
He said he also wants to work on regulations for the growing number of home occupations.
