U.S. News & World Report has recognized McLaren Flint as a top 10 southeast Michigan hospital in its 2019-20 Best Hospitals ranking. The 378-bed tertiary hospital serves all of Genesee County.

 Now in its 30th year, inclusion in the distinguished ranking demonstrates a healthcare provider’s proficiency in the delivery of its care and the resulting patient experience and outcome.

 McLaren Flint also was ranked No. 13 hospital in Michigan.

 Hospital rankings are based on objective, care-related data and statistics, while also factoring in the facility’s patient experience score and population-specific health challenges.

 “Each and every day, we’re fortunate to have a team of physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals who commit themselves to high quality care for patients who put their trust in our care,” said Chad Grant, president and CEO of McLaren Flint. “Our ranking and inclusion on this list is a proud honor and result of that dedication.”

 More than 4,500 healthcare providers nationwide were evaluated in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions.

 In addition to McLaren Flint’s ranking as a Top Hospital in Southeast Michigan, the organization also ranked “High Performing” in its treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and heart failure and performance in knee replacements.

 Five other McLaren Health Care facilities earned accolades by U.S. News & World Report including McLaren Northern Michigan, McLaren Greater Lansing, McLaren Macomb, McLaren Bay Region and McLaren Port Huron.
