Workers stand at UB Station Coffee, the newest addition to the new Union Block building in downtown Linden.

A new coffee shop is open in Linden. UB Station Cafe opened Friday, Feb. 26 in the new Union Block building on the northeast corner of Bridge and Broad streets.

The owner, Krystal Payne, who lives in Fenton with her husband and kids, said, “I’m very thankful to be a part of this growing community.”

UB stands for Union Block. The café is located on the second story of the new Union Block building in downtown Linden. Payne has felt the excitement from the community. Even before the café opened, multiple people messaged and texted her about the development.

“It’s been really fun and it’s been pretty educational. I’ve never owned a coffee shop before,” she said.

Payne is a commercial real estate agent, which is how she got involved with the Union Block building. She was encouraged to try something new and open the coffee bar.
