Sheridan Goss, 17, of Linden, was recognized by Youth Service America as an Everyday Young Hero for her work in bringing awareness to homelessness through advocacy, as well as by providing needed items in the form of Snuggle Sacks, homeless survival kits. Together with her siblings, Addisyn Goss and Jaxson Goss, Sheridan operates Snuggle Sacks, a nonprofit founded in 2015 by Addisyn. Currently, the organization averages nearly 800 sacks per month distributed to Flint, Detroit and Lansing areas. Snuggle Sacks also has its own warehouse, where as many as 600 people help assemble sacks and organization donations. For more information, visit
