The new Linden Eagles Wooden Park bathroom has two unisex bathrooms and a drinking fountain.

Linden — The new bathroom at Linden Eagle’s Wooden Park is now open. Construction began in August 2018, done by Oak Construction

Corporation. It cost $156,000 to build, according to Linden Interim City Manager and Police Chief Scott Sutter.

The city received a $50,000 grant from the Department of Natural Resources for the project. After the grant was deducted, the amount the city paid was $106,000.

At a May 14, 2018 meeting, the City Council agreed the cost would not exceed $147,000.

Sutter said, “The additional costs to the project are due to the contractor encountering a large amount of buried concrete that required additional excavation, disposal and revising the building foundation. The building is made from split face block. There are two unisex handicap accessible restrooms. The third middle door is for the utility room.
