During the Tyrone Township Planning Commission meeting Tuesday, July 13, planners reviewed the Lake Urban Crossing application and gave feedback to the applicant, David McLane, AMAG LLC. Lake Urban Crossing is a proposed residential planned unit development (PUD) located on approximately 158 acres. Residential PUDs may be approved as a special land use at this location. This property is on the north side of White Lake Road, east of Runyan Lake Road and south of the Hills of Tyrone West. Currently, the property is undeveloped woodlands, wetlands and water, including Lake Urban. A significant portion of the site consists of Lake Urban. Additionally, Denton Creek flows through the site, connecting Lake Urban to Runyan Lake. The next step in the process would be a public hearing, followed by a vote of the planning commission for preliminary approval. Next would be another public hearing and a vote on final approval, which can be applied to the entire development, or in phases, depending on developer preference.
