Sarah O’Connell, 30, of Holly, was arraigned Monday, Feb. 24 in Oakland County 52-2 District Court on one count of felonious assault. She was released from the Oakland County Jail after arraignment and has a probable cause conference March 3.
This case began Thursday, Feb. 20, at 8:35 p.m., when a 32-year-old Holly man called 911 to report he was just attacked by his girlfriend, later identified as O’Connell, with a knife, resulting in injuries to his hands.
Arriving officers found the man bleeding from wounds to both hands. The man reported he was arguing with O’Connell when she grabbed a knife from the kitchen and allegedly attacked him. The man held up his hands to block the attack and received cuts to both hands. O’Connell had left the scene prior to police arriving.
The man was transported to a medical facility for care. When he returned home from the hospital, O’Connell was there. He then called police who came and arrested her.
