The Holly Area Schools (HAS) Empty Bowls event is happening this afternoon and evening, Monday, April 15.

      According to HAS, the event is an opportunity for students, staff and families to purchase a bowl to raise money and awareness of hunger in the Holly community.

      Attendees will also have the opportunity to paint and take a bowl of their own that will be a keepsake and reminder that someone’s bowl is always empty.

      The event is being held at the Karl Richter Community Center, 920 Baird St.

      The event will benefit Holly’s Blessings in a Backpack, and coincide with the launch of the 20th annual Holly Area Schools K-12 Art Show.
