I am asking voters to support my re-election as Genesee County treasurer because I wish to continue to make our county a great place to raise our families. “I have helped over 1,000 people every year stay in their homes and pay their taxes.  This year, because of COVID, I did not foreclose on any homes.  It is important to make the community safe.  Through the Genesee Land Bank, 4,720 vacant houses have been demolished and redevelopments like Chevy Commons have been created.

In addition, I provide the Land Bank with over $800,000 to mow and clean property that has been foreclosed.  For over 30 years, I have served our citizens, working for senior citizens, serving as a county commissioner, a state legislator and as treasurer.  I have striven to make our community strong for our residents.  I hope you continue to support my work.  Thank you.

I would like to bring needed change to the treasurer’s office by pushing for upgrades in technology to make tax and fee collections easier for county residents. In addition, I would like to create new opportunities for investment by eliminating blight and vacant homes from the Land Bank. I will treat the position full-time and actually be in the office to answer calls and be attentive to my constituents.
