On Monday, June 22, the Genesee County probate and circuit courts will begin the process of returning to full operations.
In an effort to safely reopen to the public, the courts have undertaken significant changes in facility operations to include signs underscoring the need to continue social distancing and frequent hand washing.
As an additional measure to ensure minimal, controlled person-to-person contact, the Genesee County Courthouse will be closed to the public:
• Fridays, during the initial reopening phases, beginning Friday, June 26, through Friday, July 31
• Monday, July 6, a previously selected county furlough day
The closure measure was signed by Chief Judge Duncan M. Beagle in Local Administrative Orders 2020-07J (Circuit) and 2020-04J (Probate)
