Linden — Linden will host numerous events this year, including a Music by the Mill concert series, Paddle & Pedal, Kiwanis Karaoke at the Mill and Back to the Bricks. 

 On Monday, May 9, the Linden City Council approved applications to use public property for these four events. 

Music By the Mill —

Linden Concert Series

 Southern Lakes Parks and Recreation (SLPR) will host a concert series at the Kimble-Sharp Gazebo & Park on Monday, May 30, which is Memorial Day, and on every Wednesday in August. The Memorial Day concert runs from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the August events run from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Paddle & Pedal

 LAFF Pathways is bringing back Paddle & Pedal to Linden on June 3 to 5. It begins at 10 a.m. and is expected to end between 7 and 8 p.m. Residents are encouraged to paddle the Shiawassee River and take their bicycles on the LAFF (Linden, Argentine Township, Fenton, Fenton Township) pathways starting at the Linden Mill building. 

 The event will utilize the Kimble-Sharp Gazebo & Park and the Linden Mill parking lot. They will have food trucks and stage performers. 

Kiwanis Karaoke at the Mill

 Kiwanis of Linden will hold karaoke days at the Kimble-Sharp Gazebo & Park on June 14 and 28 and July 12 and 26. The events will run from 6 to 9 p.m. The application states it will be child friendly.

Linden Back to the Bricks Tune Up Party

 Hosted by SLPR, Back to the Bricks will take place Wednesday, Aug. 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. in downtown Linden. They are approved to use the intersection of Bridge and Broad streets to the Fairview Cemetery and Main Street to the Linden Library. Streets will be closed beginning at noon.
