This season Fenton Community Orchestra is celebrating its 10th anniversary of being part of this community. Join their talented musicians and “Fall in Love with the FCO” this Valentine’s Day. The concert begins at 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, in the Fenton High School Ruby Zima Auditorium. Admission is $10.

FCO’s Symphony Orchestra will perform a variety of classical and movie music under the baton of their Grammy-nominated music educator, composer, and conductor Andrew David Perkins. FCO Manager Tetyana Clark said, “Attendees will also have a chance to enter to win various prizes, including gift cards to local restaurants and gift shops.”

“Over the past 10 years we’ve grown from 30 musicians in 2010 to over 120 musicians today across our three community ensembles: FCO’s Symphony Orchestra, Simply Strings, and Prelude String Orchestra and performed for over 30,000 patrons and community members,” said Eric Szczepanski, FCO Chairman of the Board. “We’d like to thank our community and local businesses for supporting our commitment to enriching the performing arts with performances in local schools, senior centers, and community events.”

Tickets are on sale at Fenton’s Open Book and online at FentonOrchestra.org. Tickets include a special coupon offer at The Laundry between Feb. 15 and 29. Proceeds from the concert will be used to help the FCO leverage matching grants that support their performing arts programs.
