Linden — Dozens of people attended the Christmas tree lighting ceremony Sunday, Dec. 1 in downtown Linden at the old Fairbanks gas station property. The tree was lit by Mayor Danielle Cusson as attendees sang Christmas carols and enjoyed hot chocolate. Residents took photos with the tree and with Roman RoundTown, the popular Christmas gnome won by a Linden family at the Fire and Ice fundraiser, which was placed next to the tree. The event started off the Christmas season in downtown in preparation for Linden Holiday Happening this Friday, Dec. 6. The Frosty Parade begins at 6 p.m. and the fireworks start at 7:30 p.m.
