On Monday, May 22, Fenton City Council unanimously approved proposed park rental rates effective July 1. Council also approved a new seasonal pass fee for Silver Lake Park effective Friday, May 26, the first day Silver Lake Park on Silver Lake opens for the season.
Dan Brisson, the Department of Public Works (DPW) director, informed City Manager Lynn Markland that at the April 24 city council meeting, city staff presented a proposed new fee schedule for park rentals and entry fees for Silver Lake Park.
That recommendation was tabled for the city treasurer and the Parks and Recreation Board to review the proposed fee schedule.
At the May 9, Parks and Recreation board meeting, fees were discussed and changes were drafted and approved for city council’s consideration.
Brisson said the Parks and Recreation Board unanimously approved the new proposed fee schedule at its May 9 meeting.
