A 32-year-old Owosso woman is facing multiple charges after her arrest in Argentine Township at 5:05 a.m. on Thursday, June 16.
Sgt. Paul Honkanen of the Argentine Township Police Department said a police officer on patrol stopped to make sure everything was okay when the woman was observed walking in the roadway, carrying a backpack in the 12000 block of Seymour Road at that time of morning.
The officer made contact with the woman. A computer check revealed she had a misdemeanor warrant for her arrest from Mundy Township.
During a consent search, the officer recovered a Smith and Wesson 40-caliber handgun not registered to her, 2.5 pounds of marijuana, .62 grams of cocaine, 90 grams of an unknown substance, Adderall and Vicodin pills, a scale and $823 cash in her possession.
She was arrested on the warrant and lodged at the Genesee County Jail. She was later released. Charges are pending once the lab results on the unknown substance are available. Once the investigation is complete, the case will be presented to the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
