Area that was affected by water main break

Wednesday morning, Feb. 17, the city of Fenton rescinded its boil water notice to the area north of Dauner Road. The water system passed all bacteriological sampling following a water main break Saturday, Feb. 13.

Stephen Guy, supervisor of the city’s water plant, said residents no longer need to boil the water before drinking or using. The water has been determined to meet state drinking water standards.

While the city still has surface work to finish, all work to the water main has been completed and officials do not anticipate any further disruptions of service for this area.
