Bottles, Brews & News Beer Fest in a Bag is set for 3 to 8 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 21.
The drive-thru event held in the parking lot of John’s Pizzeria will feature a contact-less delivery method and organizers will follow all of the most-recent orders and recommendations from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).
For just $30, ticket holders will receive a reusable souvenir bag filled with a variety six pack
featuring Griffin Claw — Mr. Blue Sky; Blackgrass Hard Cider — Cheap Cran Cherry Key; Essentially Geared Wine Co. — Bubbles; Lansing Brewing Company — Angry Mayor; Atwater — Mango Seltzer; Grand Armory Brewing Company — Nutter Your Business, two souvenir mugs, pretzel necklaces, plus other goodies for two — to go.
Those wanting to add a to-go food order to their Beer Fest in a Bag can call John’s Pizzeria at (810) 629-5060 to place a carryout order in advance.
“We are committed to making this a safe event. All volunteers will wear masks and gloves and we’ll place your Beer Fest in a Bag into your vehicle for you,” said View Newspaper Group Brand Manager Emily Caswell. View Newspaper Group publishes the Tri-County times along with 14 other community newspapers and is host of Bottles, Brews & News.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the nonprofit agency, Fenton Area Resources and Referral Network, Inc. (FARR). The organization works with residents in crisis to assist with basic needs. Last year’s Bottles, Brews & News raised $6,000 for the nonprofit.
Sponsors include Genisys Credit Union, Sawyer Jewelers, Dort Financial Credit Union, Sharp Funeral Homes, Fischer, Franklin & Ford, Construction Solutions, Legacy Realty Professionals, ELGA Credit Union, J.P. O’Sullivan and John’s Pizzeria.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are on sale now at www.myfenton.com, the Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce, Tri-County Times and John’s Pizzeria. For more information, contact Emily Caswell at (810) 513-8501.
