Another tenant has been revealed for the new shopping complex on Silver Parkway, which is now home to T.J. Maxx, Five-Below and Skechers. Michaels is expected to move to its new location in the complex after the first of the year.
Michaels Manager Tim Storey said there is no solid date yet but that they would be moving from the store’s current location on the north end of the parkway to its new retail space in the early spring.
“A move right now would be very disruptive to our customers during the busy holiday season,” Storey said.
According to Kris Krstovski, president and founder of K2 Retail Construction & Development in Wixom, who is developing the property, Carter’s/OshKosh B’gosh will be opening in its new location in April 2020.
Another tenant has been signed for the remaining retail space, but Krstovski is not yet at liberty to reveal its name.
According to cartersoshkosh.ca, “In 2005, OshKosh B’gosh joined the Carter’s family of brands. Together, Osh-Kosh B’gosh and Carter’s are two of the oldest, largest and most-recognized brands of baby and children’s apparel in North America.”

OshKosh began creating kids jeans fashioned to look just like dad’s iconic overalls. Fast forward over a 100 years, and OshKosh kids jeans are still one of their bestselling items.
About the development
K2 Construction Retail Services of Wixom purchased the former Kmart property on 12.7 acres in Silver Lake Village from the Kmart Corporation on July 17, 2018 for $2.8 million.
The Kmart building was razed to make way for a new retail shopping center covering 72,214 square feet.
The original building was built in 1995.
In late May of 2018, it was announced that the property would be developed by K2 Construction Retail Services, Inc. and be converted into several retail spaces.
Development of two outlots on the property also is planned by K2, but further information on that is not yet available.
