About Stain Shop The

The enjoyment and satisfaction gained from seeing something dirty and worn turn into something clean, restored and renewed, led to the start of Great Lakes Pressure Cleaning (GLPC). Founder and president Kevin James took a passion for cleaning, along with a family history in the car wash industry and started GLPC in March of 1998.

In the beginning Kevin and one employee began pressure cleaning anything that needed to be cleaned. After experimenting and learning different applications, the focus of the business became fleet washing (year- round) and deck cleaning and staining (seasonal). Kevin’s brother Steve joined the team in 2005. Steve brought a resume of sales experience and innovative ideas to help launch the business forward. Together the James brothers have created a company that emphasizes service and delivers on the product. Over the years the demand for their services has grown. In 2008, they opened the Stain Shop retail division. This new division of the business has allowed the company to offer quality products, as well as expert services to their clients. The fleet division is still known as GLPC, while The Stain Shop handles all home and deck restoration projects. All of these things combine to make Great Lakes Pressure Cleaning and The Stain Shop Michigan's market leaders in the pressure cleaning industry. The Stain Shop is pleased to offer our deck clean, deck stain, power wash, cedar home stain, log home stain, and cedar and log home restoration services in the areas of Fenton, Linden, Grand Blanc, Hartland, Brighton, & Swartz Creek.
